Where in the World is Baby Dylan?...Home!

We left Vietnam as scheduled on Friday, July 4th at 7:10. We flew approximately 2 hours to Hong Kong, and waited there a short time before boarding a 12-hour flight to Las Angeles. We arrived in LA around 10:30 p.m. and we were through customs and immigration just before midnight. It was there in LA (on July 4th) that Dylan became a US citizen. From LA, we flew to Detroit, Michigan (another 4.5 hours), and then finally to Grand Rapids where we were greeted by family and friends at around 2:00 p.m. on July 5th. We are so happy to be home!

Dylan has been doing well. His skin is clearing up, his congestion is gone, he is on Eastern Standard Time and sleeping 4 to 7-hour stretches during the night, he is drinking 6-ounce bottles and gaining weight (he is now 11 pounds, 5 ounces), and alas...is no longer consumed with itching! He seems to enjoy his new home, his new toys, his new bed, and his sister! He keeps a close eye on Ryleigh. She often draws a quick smile from him. She's a very proud sister if anyone asks (and even if they don't ask), and despite being a bit possessive of our attention at times and wanting to "help" more than we would like, she is enjoying having Dylan home. She entertains him, she gives him lots of kisses, she asks repeatedly to hold him, and she is the first one to run to his room when he cries. We are a very blessed and overjoyed family of four!
