On April 3rd we received word from our agency that our I-600 (Petition to Classify Orphan as Immediate Relative) was sent to the USCIS (Immigration Services) in Vietnam. This morning I received an email from USCIS confirming receipt of the I-600...our case is now officially under review for approval to bring Dylan home to the US as our adopted child. This process can take anywhere from 1 to 3 months, during which time our petition and all supporting evidence is reviewed, and an investigation is conducted to confirm Dylan's orphan status. Upon approval, we will be cleared to travel.
